Today’s lunch selection is: French Toast; Sausage Links; Hash Browns; Celery; Mandarin Oranges; and Fresh Fruit

Today we will be following the Peps Schedule. Please report to your PEPS Training Locations at 11:03.

Link Crew Leaders, there will be meeting this Monday, October 27th, at lunch in Ms. Crumrine’s Room 311. We will be planning an activity for Freshmen during November, so it is important that you come! See you there!

Do you have an interest in bowling? Do you like excitement? Are you a team player? Do you like to travel? Do you want to hang out with other high school students and make new friends? If this sounds like you, come join the High School Bowling Team! Also, did you know you can earn college scholarships through bowling? There will be a Meet and Greet this Sunday, October 26th, at 3:00 p.m. at the Epi Center. Contact Mrs. Hurlbut in Room 105 for more information. The sign up sheet is in the Athletic Office.

There will be a free Movie Festival at Steen Sports Park inside Mike’s Fieldhouse this Saturday, October 25th, beginning at 1:00 p.m. It is free to the public. There is also a costume party beginning at 1:00 p.m. with Prizes. Bring your own chairs and blankets. There will also be a Snack Bar, cash or credit cards only.

Speaking of costumes, The Klamath Crisis Center is sponsoring a sale for the purpose of raising funds for the Marta House today and tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. All costumes are $10.00 at the First Baptist Church at 707 High Street. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go directly to the Marta House.

Parent Conference Schedule
October 29 and 30, 2014

Welcome to October, crisp mornings and beautiful colors, a lovely season.

October Update:

October 24th- No School- End of Q1

October 27-29th Regular bell schedules

October 29th- Parent conferences from 5-9 p.m. on a drop-in basis. TEACHERS WILL BE IN THEIR CLASSROOMS for more accurate conferences with access to grade books and attendance.

October 30th- 1/2 day, school released at noon. Parent conferences will be from 1-8 p.m. TEACHERS WILL BE IN THEIR CLASSROOMS for more accurate conferences with access to grade books and attendance.. Also, we will be scheduling appointments for parents during this day. Please be aware that teachers might not be available on a drop-in basis due to a scheduled conference with another parent. Teachers will have their conference schedules posted on their doors and you are welcome to come in and see a teacher on a drop in basis if they are free during that time.

October 31st- no school - Staff in-service day

Senior Picture Requirements

Requirements: Must be a shot of professional quality head and shoulders only.  No props or hats.  Color or Black and White are fine.  Indoors, or out, as long as the lighting is good.

Due Date is January 31st.  If submitted after 1/31 a $25 late fee will be due.   No senior pictures will be accepted after March 1st.


In our efforts to reach our goal of 100% graduation at Klamath Union High School our district is implementing AVID. AVID stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination. AVID is a global nonprofit organization that operates with one guiding principle: hold students accountable to the highest standards, provide academic and social support and they will rise to the challenge. We are implementing AVID K-14. KCC is in partnership with our AVID implementation. AVID brings research-based curriculum and strategies to students each day that develop critical thinking, literacy, and math skills across all content areas. Simply put, AVID trains educators to use proven practices in order to prepare students for success in high school, college and a career, especially students traditionally underrepresented in higher education...
