Pelican Elementary is a K-6 school with nine classroom teachers who are dedicated to creating strong relationships with their 230 students and families. We are located in an area of Klamath Falls, previously know as Pelican City, near Klamath Lake. Built in 1921, Pelican Elementary, home of the Pirates, is proud of its tradition of service to families. Pelican has the only elementary science lab in the Klamath Falls City School District, a computer lab, and student computers in every classroom. Additional programs include Reading Recovery, SMART, music P.E., band/orchestra for 5th/6th graders, and a strong Accelerated Reading program. Several teachers use Project-Based Learning in their classrooms and leveled readers are used across grade levels. Pelican staff is highly qualified and students receive an excellent education.
