Welcome to Pelican Elementary School, home of the Proud Pelican Pirates! We are a K-5 school with ten classrooms dedicated to creating strong relationships with 250 students and their families. We are located near Klamath Lake in an area of Klamath Falls formerly known as Pelican City.

Built in 1921, Pelican Elementary has a long tradition of teaching children the value of academic excellence, good character, and community service. In 2014/15, Pelican joined AVID to promote college and career readiness. Pelican staff promotes use of technology through use of a computer lab, interactive Promethean whiteboards, student computer stations, and Apple I-pads in every classroom. Supplemental programs support a comprehensive reading and math curriculum and teaching of the Common Core State Standards.

A member of the Healthy Schools Program, Pelican School strives to promote healthier living through the motto, “Eat Better, Move More”. A variety of physical fitness programs are held before, during, and after the school day: including walk to school days, recess/P.E., activity-a-thon fundraiser, health and nutrition education.

Pelican Boosters support total school success through active parent participation in and out of the classrooms. Parents and volunteers are encouraged to get involved at Pelican Elementary!
