8th Grade Invasion

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming the 8th grade students from Ponderosa to campus for our annual 8th Grade Invasion. This exciting event gave students the opportunity to spend time on campus, explore what we have to offer as incoming 9th graders, and begin imagining what their future could look like at the high school level.

Throughout the day, students were able to experience a variety of the programs, classes, activities, and opportunities that make our school such a special place. As they toured campus, they had the chance to visit classrooms, learn about academic and elective offerings, hear from staff and students, and get a firsthand look at the many pathways available to them. From core academic subjects to hands-on electives and extracurricular opportunities, 8th Grade Invasion was designed to help students see the many ways they can get involved, discover their interests, and begin building their own unique high school experience.

In addition to exploring our campus, students were also able to experience the energy, spirit, and sense of community that make our school so unique. One of the most meaningful parts of the day was getting to connect with future students, answer their questions, and help them feel excited and confident about the transition into high school. Events like 8th Grade Invasion are such an important part of helping students feel welcomed, informed, and inspired as they prepare for this next chapter.

We loved the opportunity to showcase all that our school has to offer and to spend the day with such an incredible group of future freshmen. We are so proud to share our campus with the next generation and cannot wait to see all the amazing things these students will accomplish in the years ahead.
