Senior English Project

The seniors at Eagle Ridge New Tech High School recently collaborated on a creative mini-project inspired by Frankenstein. As a full class, students worked together to design and illustrate a unified interpretation of the Creature, combining their individual ideas into one cohesive visual representation.

To deepen their analysis, students selected and incorporated ambiguous quotes from the novel around their artwork. These quotes were intentionally chosen because they blur the line between speaker—prompting viewers to question whether the words belong to Victor Frankenstein or his creation.

This artistic and analytical approach challenged students to explore one of the novel’s central themes: the complex relationship between creator and creation. By emphasizing ambiguity, students highlighted how both characters share emotions such as isolation, anger, and a desire for understanding, ultimately encouraging viewers to reconsider who the “monster” truly is.
