Readers Theater

Today, our students had the opportunity to visit Joseph Conger Elementary School to perform a Readers Theater for younger learners — creating a meaningful connection through storytelling, creativity, and collaboration.

Students from Eagle Ridge New Tech High School and Klamath Union High School worked together to bring classic and imaginative stories to life, including Alice in Wonderland, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Billy Goats Gruff, Slurping Beauty, and This Little Piggy. Each performance was filled with expression, humor, and energy, keeping students engaged and excited from start to finish.

Through Readers Theater, our high school students practiced public speaking, teamwork, and leadership, while modeling confidence and positive behavior for younger students. For the elementary audience, it was a joyful opportunity to experience stories beyond the pages of a book and see older students as role models.

The smiles, laughter, and enthusiastic participation from the students at Joseph Conger Elementary reminded us how powerful shared learning experiences can be. Events like this not only strengthen literacy skills, but also build relationships across grade levels and schools.

We are so proud of our students for representing their schools so well and for using their voices to bring stories to life.
