Our annual Kindergarten Round-Up will start at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 21 at each of the city elementary schools: Conger, Mills, Pelican and Roosevelt.
Children who will be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2024, are invited to come with their parents and register for kindergarten for the 2024-25 school year.
Come meet teachers and visit kindergarten classrooms.
Parents, please bring your child’s birth certificate and your child’s immunization records.

The 2024 Klamath Promise Graduation Sensation will be held in downtown Klamath Falls on May 30th. There will be a parade of 2024 graduates (and kindergartners) down Main Street starting at noon, Thursday, May 30, followed by an awards ceremony and celebration at Veterans Memorial Park.
Seniors and parents, the award and scholarship application is open and will close on May 17th. Students will find out if they received an award or scholarship during the May 30 event.

Klamath Falls City Schools is inviting the public to view and comment on materials intended to be selected as the new Elementary English Language Arts curriculum beginning in the 2024-2025 school year.
A district committee unanimously selected the materials after rigorous research, consultation with experts and classroom pilots. Materials can be viewed in the Student Services office at the Lucille O'Neal Education Center, 1336 Avalon Street, Klamath Falls, OR 97603.
Materials will be available for viewing the week of April 15-19 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. during those days.

For immediate release: Klamath Falls City Schools is inviting the public to view and comment on materials intended to be selected as the new middle school and high school mathematics curriculum beginning in the 2024-2025 school year.
A district committee selected the materials from a list of Oregon Department of Education approved materials and is inviting the community to view and comment on the selected materials.
Materials can be viewed at Klamath Union High School, 1300 Monclaire Street, Klamath Falls, OR 97601. Materials will be available for viewing the week of February 20 through February 23 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at the James Ivory Performing Arts Center at Klamath Union High School at 7PM, the Ponderosa Middle School Parent Teacher Organization is hosting nationally recognized education expert Robert Pondiscio. The event is open to the public and free of charge.
Robert is a former TIME magazine reporter, and a public school teacher in the South Bronx. He is author of the acclaimed book, "How the Other Half Learns," which looks at schools that succeed with low-income and challenged students. The Washington Post called the book "a work of genius," while the New York Times praised the book as “unsparingly honest.”
Earlier in the day, Robert will present to Klamath Falls City Schools district teachers during their professional development time. Then that evening, he will present to parents and community members in an open event. Community supporters of the event include:
