🎉 Congratulations to KFCS bus driver Matt Mixell, who recently won a 50" TV after taking part in a fun transportation rules and laws quiz🚍📺
Mixell has been a dedicated KFCS driver for many years, serving routes for Pelican Elementary School, Ponderosa Middle School, and Klamath Union High School, as well as driving teams to away games as a long-trip driver for the district.
The contest was organized by KFCS Transportation Supervisor Marvin Babb, who originally won the TV at the Oregon Pupil Transportation Association (OPTA) 2025 Summer Conference and Trade Show held in Bend this past June.
“I live in an RV and already have two TVs, so I thought I’d give this to one of my bus drivers and use it as something to honor them for their hard work this year,” Babb said.
The quiz was posted on the reader board at the KFCS bus barn and open to all district bus drivers. Out of 20 questions, covering topics from Oregon Department of Education bus safety and policies to route procedures, Mixell only missed three questions.
Mixell said he is most excited to set up his new TV in his game room.
Thank you, Matt, and all our incredible, valuable KFCS transportation staff, for keeping our students safe every day! 🚌
