No. 9 Stayton played spoiler against No. 23 Klamath Union boys basketball Friday night in a play-in for the OSAA Class 4A State Championships at Pel Court and won, 50-42.
The Pelicans finished their season second in the Skyline Conference with a 4-4 record and were 7-13 overall.
The Pelicans will be saying goodbye to seniors Hayden Smith, Tony Ortiz, Javan Zumwalt, Tarence Anderson, Alexis Perdoma, Dashel Geraud and Wayce Saluskin.
