Dear Klamath Falls City Schools Families, Staff, and Community,

The safety and well-being of our students and staff are the foundation of everything we do. We are writing to provide you with an update regarding today’s incident at Roosevelt Elementary School and to reaffirm our unwavering commitment to maintaining a secure learning environment.

Following the report of the incident, school personnel and our School Resource Officer immediately launched a thorough investigation. We can now confirm that:

  • The investigation has been successfully completed.

  • The individual responsible has been identified.

  • Appropriate disciplinary and legal actions, in accordance with district policy, are being taken.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone involved for their prompt response and cooperation. Transitions during unexpected events can be challenging, but our staff and students handled the situation with exceptional calm and professionalism. Their adherence to our safety protocols ensured that the situation was resolved efficiently.

While we are relieved by the swift resolution of today's events, we do not take our security for granted. The safety of our staff and students remains our top priority at every one of our facilities. We continue to evaluate our procedures daily to ensure that our schools remain a safe haven for learning.
