Klamath Falls came together to recognize and celebrate the lasting legacy of Ken Coffman, whose impact on local athletics and generations of student-athletes extends far beyond his own time on the track.

A standout track athlete who graduated in 1959, Coffman's connection to Klamath Union and the community continued throughout his life. Following his retirement from Klamath Union in 1995, Coffman remained dedicated to the students, athletes and coaches who followed in his footsteps.
Through his continued involvement and coaching, Coffman helped shape and inspire another generation of athletes, leaving a lasting mark on the local track and field community.
Those who gathered to honor Coffman shared their appreciation for the many years he devoted to students and athletics.
“Thank you for everything, coach Coffman,” was among the heartfelt sentiments shared during the recognition Friday, September 4 on Modoc Field.
The celebration served as a reminder that the impact of a great coach and mentor is not measured only in records, championships or accomplishments, but in the lives they influence along the way.
For Ken Coffman, that impact has stretched across generations.
